Amy Campbell

Amy has been a runner for 37 years. She ran track and cross country from junior high school Amy Campbellthrough college, was a Division III All-American in the 1500meters with a time of 4:41.2, and competed in road races post college. Amy has done 10 marathons, her best a 3:08 in Boston back in the late 1980s. The "speed" factor isn't what it used to be, but Amy switched to duathlons for 18 years once she met her husband, who introduced her to cycling.  When she turned 40 she decided she needed to try the sport of triathlon, so she enlisted the help of a swim coach to help perfect her stroke and rid her of her deep-seated fear of the "open water"- which clearly you cannot have should you desire to do a triathlon. She has successfully completed numerous triathlons from sprint distance up through half Ironman.  Her final "bucket list" goal in the sports arena is to complete a FULL Ironman, hopefully in her 50th year if she can keep all her body parts in working order to see that to fruition!  Amy has known Dean as a customer for at least 22 years prior to joining our staff.  When Sneaker Factory opened in Basking Ridge, it gave Amy an opportunity to try and give back to the running community by working in the store and helping customers to find that "perfect" running shoe, or the right attire for running or triathlon needs.  Amy is a personal trainer who also works in corporate fitness and for a physical therapist.  She enjoys spending her free time (when she is not training) with her two labs, Logan and Darwin, her 13 year old daughter, 15 year old son, and husband, Matt, who is also an avid and accomplished triathalete.
